Battery Disconnect Switches
Battery disconnect switches shut down the vehicle in an emergency or secure it when not in use. Offered in single- and double-pole versions..
Single Pole Disconnect has two terminals and is recommend- ed for vehicles not using an alternator that needs the ability to be shut down in an emergency or when securing a vehicle by shutting off all power to the vehicle.
Note: When attempting to shut down a vehicle with an alternator using a sin- gle-circuit battery disconnect, the alternator may continue supplying power to the vehicle ignition system, allowing vehicle to continue to run.
Double-Pole Disconnect has four terminals with two separate circuits, which is recommended for vehicles with an alternator that need to be shut down in the event of an emergency.
