Shawn laughed and replied “yah fool
ute, yuh nuh see seh granny did a trick
yuh”, he then left his brother and swiftly
swam to what he thought was the one.
Shane paid close attention because he was
always frightened by Grandma Pat’s
stories. When Shawn reached the top of the
river he touched what he thought was a
young lady.
She turned around and grabbed his
feet to pull him to the bottom of the river, he
screamed “Shane help mi!!” but his brother
was so frightened that he froze and peed
his pants for a minute. She pulled him to
the bottom of the river, Shane then got up
from the river bank and ran home
screaming “granny granny, river Muma
gone wid Shawn”.
