These last few weeks I have examined the passion in the manner I bestow my beliefs on others. I haven’t changed my desire to share, however. Because I believe in the bible, and as it decrees, I will never stop sharing the Word of God with everyone and anyone who will listen. I will shout it from the rooftops, because I want to reach those who will find the inner peace that I have. What has changed is the realization, that not be everyone who hears me, wants to listen.
I believe there are three types of people who pray:
1. Those who share a connection with God based on a truth faith.
They have routine conversations with Him and trust implicitly, that they are being heard. They share an all-encompassing love for an entity denied by scientists, yet adored by billions.
2. Those whose prayers are solely for the pretense. They go to church because their spouses insist that it’s good for the children and to show a community presence. They are not bad people, only different types of sinners, dressing the part as Sunday Christians, then cheating on their wives without hesitation or remorse.
3. Then there are those who pray because they’re afraid not to, like the Betwixt. They are caught in a web of conflicted emotions. They yearn so badly to realize what true Christians know, yet something prevents them from full acceptance. They do not mock the spiritual, but rather show the utmost respect...almost envy, toward everyone who has accepted Christ.
I told my brother that God judges the heart, and only He knows what’s real. For my brother’s sake, and for my own I am choosing to believe that although he may not be in heaven, he’s in a place not quite as
