Traces
We don’t see them, for they are invisible. We don’t hear them make a sound.
We cannot hold them, for they are weightless. We do not know where they are found.
The silent gifts we leave behind, priceless in their worth,
exist in the lives that cross our path through our journey here on earth.
A trace is an enduring mark where something/someone has stayed – a difference in the life of another that you don’t even know you’ve made.
Often, what appears on the surface holds much more underneath, and so are the lasting legacies in the traces we bequeath.
What we may view as insignificant, a compliment or favor,
may leave a loving memory that someone else will savor.
