Where Do You Live?
Someone asked me recently: “Where do you live?” And I considered carefully what answer I should give.
For I dwell in a building on a street in a town,
but where I live is not a place, a structure...or a noun.
I spend time in a house, roaming each adjoining square, but I only live inside that place whenever I am there.
Living is existence -- what we learn, what we know and so we take life with us wherever we may go.
When, “Where do you live?” is again asked of me,
I’ll answer: “I live every day everywhere I’ll be.”
