One Wonderful Life
Seconds, minutes, days, when all is said and done are meaningless measurements that meld into one.
One lifetime of yesterdays fragmented into years. One lifetime of memories too quickly disappears.
Today turns into yesterday when tomorrow is today.
How they’re measured doesn’t alter how fast they slip away.
Days and months are merely markers that one lifetime combines
like a single wooden ruler divided into lines.
We are blessed with one life, so wonderfully sublime -- the same amount of life,
not the same amount of time.
A kaleidoscope of moments...
what we’ve done, where we’ve been. Twist the barrel and our “now” becomes “I remember when...”
Dates, deadlines and commitments -- one lifetime is dissected.
Why must we separate into pieces what will always be connected?
Today is only yesterday, twenty-four hours greater and tomorrow is today only twenty-four hours later.
