We Are Not Here
Why am I here? Why am I me? We all search for a reason until life explains it gradually with every passing season.
But solutions we uncover
are not answers we have sought. They do not define why we ARE here, but instead, why we are NOT.
We are not here to spend our days struggling to impress
the world outside our window with every “thing” that we possess.
We are not here to worry about our body’s shape and size, or to be accepted outwardly through someone else’s eyes.
We are not here to overlook the blessings we’ve been granted by accepting false priorities society has implanted.
We are not here to reach success without mistake or blunder,
or hold our head above the water by pushing others under.
We are not here to criticize
or defend beliefs with fury,
but to view each other’s differences as neither judge, nor jury.
We are not here to be opponents; we were designed to get along, for the truth lies in the six words: We are not here for long.
