After The Dash (Poem)
The dash between the date we’re born and the date we leave this earth will represent the life we live
and what that little line is worth.
This life is fleeting, and it’s brief -- a dash of tears and laughter, yet, ample time to take control of what will happen after.
This body, a mortal vessel, with its struggle and its strife only shelters an everlasting soul inside a temporary life.
So, think about what matters, and what you’re focusing upon throughout this fading lifetime so swiftly here and gone.
For there should be no confusion, or reason to be perplexed
that choices we make here on earth determine what comes next.
Life itself, an invitation that is not delivered twice to accept a key that opens the door to paradise.
