Mile Marker Two
As the waves welcome my ashes, and they become one with the sea, I’m returned to Mile Marker Two where I always loved to be.
I know your heart is aching
and your tears, they fall like rain. There, I would be sad to see you sad, but here, we feel no pain.
So if your woeful tears must fall, don’t let them fall for me. This place is everything and more He promised it would be.
It would ease your mournful mind and what you’re going through if you could only see me here... if you could see this view.
Your heart would be less troubled if you would trust where I am now, sitting here on this beautiful boat with my feet up on the bow.
I don’t have to be home for dinner; I can fish from dawn ‘til night, and every single cast I throw seems to bring a bigger bite.
An unexplainable serenity --
the warm breeze brushes my face and the sun gleams off the whitecaps as a perfect peace surrounds this place.
