What has been done

Trying to erase mistakes, happenings, errors in judgment will never eradicate them from your memory.
Write the story of your life without using an eraser.
Because every single thing – the good and the bad,
is the clay that was used to mold the person
you see reflected
in your mirror.
Trying to pretend things never occurred doesn’t change the fact that they did.
And trying to erase them only leaves behind
a faded, yet indelible mark that will be with you always
as part of your story,
as individual pieces
that are required to complete an intricate puzzle –
the puzzle that is you.
