Over the past six years, we have been able to help some of these organization and groups in Donelson,
as well as many others.
Buchanan Log House: Grants and donations in the amount of $2,000 to assist in the upkeep of the grounds.
Donelson Community Gardens: $1,500 in grants for establishing and maintaining the gardens.
Donelson Gateway Project: $3,000 grant to assist in the update & beautification of McGavock High School exterior.
Fifty Forward: $5,000 donation
Friends of Two Rivers: $1,500 to support Music at the Mansion.
GROW Enrichment: $500 grant to establish a bee sanctuary in Donelson area for education & conservation.
Hickman Elementary: $2,000 to four Kindergarten classrooms to replace supplies destroyed in a fire.
Hip Eats: Over 200 meals provided to families in need over the summer months.
Hickman Elementary Drama Department: $325 grant to purchase stage lighting for their Disney approved produc-
tion of “Aristocats”.
McGavock Elementary PTO: $350 grant to assist in upgrading the school’s marquee.
McGavock High School Band: Provided bottled water for the entire marching band during their week-long band
camp.
Metro Fire Department (Donelson-Hermitage stations): through direct donations and donations to Box 55, a
non-profit that serves on-duty firefighters.
Metro Police Christmas Charities: Over $19,000 to help fund the five decades old program that provides baskets of
food and gifts for families in need over the holiday season.
Night Out Against Crime: Over $1,200 spent to bring this event to the community.
Red Cross Partnership with Hip Donelson: $375 to cover hotel expenses for a Donelson family displaced by a fire.
Standford Montessori School: $300 grant to help start a school garden.
Two Rivers Middle HEROS: $1,500 to cover lunch fees and clothing for students in need.
