Our present plans must also account for the challenges our students will face in the future.
We have made plans for a career and innovation academy, a facility that would be open to
all high school students in Cherry Creek. With curriculum rooted in real-world skills and trades
ranging from automotive technology to computer science to aerospace, this academy would
offer students a new kind of bridge to viable careers.
This one-of-a-kind space is only one piece of a larger puzzle when it comes to preparing Cherry
Creek School District students for the demands of the 21st century. We want to provide opportu-
nities for all students at all levels, and that commitment is behind plans for customized spaces for
innovation and collaboration in every elementary and middle school across the district.
As students face an ever-changing and more competitive job market, these plans would offer
an integral key. More importantly, the new facilities and all important updates would support the
fundamental mission of the Cherry Creek School District. Whether a student wants to pursue a
college career, head directly into the workforce, or enlist in the military, we want to offer tools to
help see their dreams realized.
Staying true to our long-held values is a priority in Cherry Creek. Thanks to input from the entire
community, we are finding ways to ensure that those values keep up with a changing and
evolving world.
