texture that resembles Cendol, with a thick and sweet

coconut milk sauce. Konji Barayak is usually served
at several events, including mutual cooperation and

There is a well-known tradition in the Kuantan Singingi community in making Konji

Barayak, namely the Tradisi Bakonji (Bakonji tradition). The Bakonji tradition shows and
elevates the extraordinary meaning of mutual cooperation. Through this tradition, society gets

rid of the nature of human individualism, and prioritizes togetherness. Everyone including men,
women, youths and children come together to celebrate, have fun, and eat food. The sweet taste

of Konji Barayak really describes how sweet the atmosphere is. This value is not owned by
                 modern food.
