WALLS



          Walls


          Now the floors are made in terms of Levels and grid net and walls can be created in the project.
          In the first part of the course, walls structure is not defined, i.e. they are generic. Later we will
          increase detail and the wall structure will be defined.

          Walls in General

          Walls are predefined "System Families", which in a project are a number of standards. It is
          possible to customize the existing walls that already is in a project or to create new ones based
          on the existing walls.
          In a project, there are external walls, inner walls and others. These walls are categorized as
          either "Architectural Walls" (non-bearing) or "Structural Walls" (load-bearing).
          There are three different wall Family:
          •  Basic Walls            Basic Walls (divided into vertical layer).

          •  Curtain Walls          Curtain Walls, but can also be used as divided walls.
          •  Stacked Walls          Stacked Walls (also divided into horizontal layers).


          If it is desired to make use of an existing wall from another project, it can be retrieved using.
          "Transfer Project Standards":
          Manage ► Settings ► Transfer Project Standards


          Creating walls

          Walls is selected on Architecture ► Wall








          At the top of the Properties select a type from the Type
          Selector.
