Ornamental Wood Molding

Hardwood Victorian base molding. Labor for moldings is best estimated by the piece rather than by
the foot. The hard part is cutting lengths precisely to size. The more cuts needed, the more time
required. For example, one 12' run of molding requires two cuts -- one on each end. Twelve 1' lengths of
molding would require 24 cuts, even though it’s the same 12 linear feet. The estimates that follow are
based on linear feet, but assume that full 8' lengths can be used to good advantage.
