MAMAC
Liz Magor, entre réel et simulacre
Depuis plus de 40 ans, l’artiste canadienne Liz Magor scrute notre relation aux objets du quotidien, autrefois indispensables puis vite tombés dans l’oubli, à qui elle donne une nouvelle vie. La rétrospective proposée par le MAMAC réunit, sur 1 200 m2, un ensemble d’objets réalisés entre 1989 et 2017, qui dépassent « le caractère statique de la sculpture en investissant notamment la limite entre le réel et le simulacre : je passe des heures à créer des objets que je trouvais autrefois inesthétiques et insignifiants [...]. Ce qui m’intéresse, c’est l’influence de ce qui est fabriqué sur ce qui est trouvé. »

For over 40 years Canadian artist Liz Magor has been scrutinising
the way we relate to ordinary objects previously indispensable but now forgotten, to which she gives a fresh twist. The MAMAC’s 1200m2 retrospective presents a selection of pieces she has created since 1989, which override
“the static nature of sculpture, in particular by investigating the border between real and simulated: I spend hours creating objects that
I previously considered unaesthetic and insignificant [...]. What interests
me is the influence of the fabricated on the found.”

La compagnie Kä g étrenne la nouvelle salle !
Après six mois de travaux, la salle de spectacle flambant neuve accueille la compagnie Käfig, qui œuvre depuis vingt ans à faire tomber les clichés sur la culture hip­hop. Discipline artistique à part entière, le hip­hop n’a plus de frontière. Pour les 20 ans de sa compagnie, Mourad Merzouki, fondateur et
danseur, qui a toujours pensé ses créations sur le mode du mixage (arts martiaux, cirque, arts plastiques, vidéo, musique live) propose « Cartes blan­ ches », un spectacle jubilatoire autour de six amis danseurs.
