       G launch of Our Voice, the new, quarterly
     magazine for Kansas City Public Schools. We chose that
     title because we want this to be a place where all of our
     stakeholders can have a voice in the conversation about
     public education in this city.


     We particularly need to hear from our students. When
     I came to KCPS in 2016, I made it a priority to listen to
     and learn from our students. Too often, we dictate to
     our children. I know from personal experience that
