Rym flew back with us to Geneva
accompanied by Tarfa and Ramla. Because
of a last-minute change of plane that could
not accommodate 2 large crates in the
cargo, the impossibility of finding a hotel
accepting 3 Sloughis, after a lot of
negotiations with the airline that led
nowhere, I was finally asked by a member
of the staff to "please go work all your
charm with the pilot!!" I said I can try, and
he drove me to him. I approached the Swiss
pilot with my best smile and explained to
him how valuable the dogs were and what a
problem it would cause if anything bad
happened to them. He then graciously
agreed to have one crate in the cargo area,
then the puppy Rym in my sister's backpack
and Ramla on a leash with me in the main
cabin. I climbed into the plane's cargo to
