The IAAs, to be carried out in accordance
with their objectives and regarding the
patient / user and the animal concerned,
require the involvement of a
multidisciplinary team, made up of
different professionals, healthcare, and
non-healthcare, who contribute to the
planning and carrying out of the
intervention, each for their own skills,
working in close collaboration, to better
manage the complexity of the human-
animal relationship.
The choice of the multidisciplinary team
represents a fundamental moment, since it
must be diversified according to the areas
and objectives of the intervention, the
specific needs of the patient / user and the
animal involved.
All team members must have specific
additional training to operate in coherence
and synergy.
Contacts happen easily with several children together.
