Like the FCI, the American Kennel Club of the Sloughi Fanciers Association of
recognized the American Staffordshire America, and the AKC recognized the
Terrier in 1936 and the Black and Tan breed on January first 2016, 82 years after
Coonhound in 1945. For comparison, the the FCI and 28 years after Carole Cioce’s
AKC was approached in 1988 to start the initiative.
