All of the features about the 1" ball mounting system only bigger. The bigger ball design gives you a much greater clamping force for larger accessories while still having a smooth full range of motion. The 163 top plate has been designed to accept large fish finders. Click & lock any Scotty post mount accessory into the 162 Gear Head. Designed for use with Scotty rod holders.
