IN
TEACH CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH
Experience history in the mak-
ing in the classrooms of China!
Global Volunteers was one of
the first American non-sectarian
NGOs to send short-term volun-
teers to the People’s Republic of
China in 1996. Since then, thou-
sands of volunteers have helped
build a “state of the art” elemen-
tary school in a farming village,
extended care to disabled tod-
dlers and taught conversational
English to children, young adults
and Chinese teachers. You can
personally help expand learning
opportunities for China’s future
leaders in public and private
elementary classrooms and in
colleges and vocational schools.

“The students were remarkable. We told them we brought something that can help
them….the English language, and if they share their understanding with others, the
world will certainly be a better place.” ~ China Volunteer Richard Chun

Chinese students and teachers prepare for work in the global
arena, where English serves as the universal language of commerce, technology and opportunity. While
teachers are always beneficial, no formal teaching experience is required. Every open-minded native Eng-
lish speaker is a very valuable resource.
