About Us
You wrote a fantastic book, but what now?
How and where do you publish it?
If you want your book published by a traditional publisher, the
long and painful process starts with finding a publisher that
accepts your genre and satisfied with your manuscript. After you
submit your book, you must wait months for the acceptance or
rejection letter, and then wait about a year, or sometimes even
more before you can see your book published.
Nowadays anyone can publish a book, but the truth is that some of
the self-published books are pretty bad. There are many books out
there that are badly written, badly edited, and poorly formatted.
Writing a good story is hard work, and self-published authors (if
they don’t learn to do every step of the publishing process) have to
pay for services to make their book presentable and enjoyable to
readers.
There are many sites where you can self-publish your book.
However, it takes a long time to learn the requirements such as
correct book formatting and uploading the manuscript, have an
attractive book cover made, register copyright, and when the book
is published, promote and market your book.
About editing:
It is crucial to have every book professionally edited. You
probably come across books that are loaded with errors such as
misspelled words and incorrectly used words. I’m not an expert on
grammar rules either. Usually, when I finish a chapter, I turn on
my editing program. Sometimes the program seems to be
overwhelmed with my errors and especially with my notoriously
misplaced commas. Publishing a book without editing is a big
mistake and usually results in a lot of 1* reviews such as I’ve
seen, “What is this? A joke?” and “Who wrote this garbage? At
least, have the decency to edit what you publish!” or “You’re
giving indie authors a very bad name.”
