1. Moving out of direct provision:
1.1 Once you receive your status:

● YoucannowbegintheprocessofleavingDirectProvisionand
looking for a new home.
● WhenyouhaveyourMinisterLetter(theletterconfirmingyour
status after you get your IPO recommendation letter) you can apply for social housing with a ‘local authority’ (local City or County Council) and then for the Housing Assistance Payment (HAP).
● IfyouaretoldyouhavetobeIrelandfor5years+beforeyoucan apply, that information in incorrect. Paragraph 7 of this document can be used to support your application: Circular Housing 41/2012 (pdf).
