Executive Summary

I have owned, developed land and operated my own businesses in Western Canada since the
age of sixteen.

1. Grain farmed, raised cattle, horses, swine and sheep. Bred, trained and raced
thoroughbred horses most of my life
2. Owned three fish farms; hatched and stocked lakes with millions of rainbow trout /
artic char over the past fifty-seven years.
3. Owned and operated truck stop at Vulcan Alberta.
4. Owned and operated 5 food and liquor licenced venues

c. Trout Springs Bar and Lounge - Calgary
d. Celiente Lounge - Calgary
e. Alberta Downs Race Track - Lacombe
5. Owned and operated Happy Valley a recreation center in west Calgary. The biggest
recreational park in Canada, employing up to 110 staff.

I have been involved in all components of successful track operations. From racing secretary,
track maintenance, race starter, budgeting, video streaming, up linking, Tote systems and
Computers. I am intimately familiar with the rules/regulations of Horse Racing Alberta and
CPMA.

I have a lot of enthusiasm/experience and looking forward to helping Alberta Racing grow and
prosper.
