CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES: Four full-time case managers oversee individual service plans for each child, link the children to community-based care providers, advocate on behalf of the children in educational and judicial settings and provide crisis intervention, as needed.
MEDICAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES: A full-time medical coordinator serves
as the point of contact with the children’s physicians, psychiatrists and dentists; the coordinator manages the health care needs of the children by coordinating medical and dental appointments, managing medication plans and providing first aid on-site. MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES: A full-time mental health counselor provides in- dividual, family and group counseling to our children who suffer from a variety of issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder, attachment disorder and grief
and loss.
INDEPENDENT LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM: Children aged 13 to 18 are enrolled in
an individualized and comprehensive life skills curriculum which includes lessons in hygiene, nutrition, housekeeping, money management, communication skills, career development, and college preparation. The curriculum is delivered in a combination of classroom lessons, in-home instruction, individual counseling, and hands-on experi- ences through visits to local businesses and community service organizations. TUTORING: Our children receive twice weekly tutoring in reading and math. Since COVID with them learning from home, we have increased the number of tutors needed to provide virtual tutoring support for each child on an individualized basis. Tutoring is a key aspect of our program as it allows us to maintain a 100% high school graduation rate for the past 12 consecutive years.
