Education Hunger
“Finish your milk,” said my mum.
Education is the road to emancipation, “No mum I have to go, it’s not that yum”
Dedication, diligence and determination, Then I walked out the door “Oh! Eating food is such a bore! ’
Understanding of theories and their practical application, I started walking out to the street,
Creativity and vivid imagination, I saw a man who had nothing to eat,
Are the prerequisites for a good education? When he saw me, he took out his hand,
Tests and exams, challenge our comprehension whereas “I have not had food. Not even bland!”
Interesting co-curricular activities, prepare us for competition. Then I checked my pocket I had nothing to give
Observation and analysis, help us deal with every life situation I thought, “In such a condition how can he live!”
and Negative marking teaches us to deal with rejection. “All those people in the buildings. Their food goes to waste!
Look at Me! I have not had a bite to taste!”

Finally, I walked back with guilt and shame

And listening to my thoughts in the silence,
Well, this can only be a dream, Poverty Pains
I get tired listening to the stories of my parents’ childhood, Ever taken a glimpse at those eyes,
Wondering when! Staring at the vacant sky
When will I be able to live like this, In the age to study and learn
They used to Go out at night enjoying the time, Ever taken a glimpse at those bloated stomachs,
What has happened now, Due to malnourishment and appetite
where is the freedom, Ever taken a glimpse on the skinny legs and arms,
I don’t blame them, Witch no muscular charm,
And no protection from harm
it’s the society which has changed,
WORDS 2020 -21 every day you hear something new about it, but think about the people who suffer all night, WORDS 2020 -21
The view is justified, a lot cold outside,
which has made a pact to not be safe,
They tremble very tight,
What has happened?
I wonder when it will all be ok.
