BUCHANAN PERRIGO
Buchanan was made to be a wres-
tler; he is naturally athletic and light in weight, a perfect wrestling combination. After joining the team in the 7th grade, Buchanan has been a vital part of the program for six years. As a senior, Bu- chanan will be holding down a starting position for the fourth straight season, finishing in the top three at states each year. The team has long depended on Buchanan’s energy to jump start the lineup, and his leadership will be missed as he graduates.
CHRISTOPHER RONEK
As a 9th grader, Christopher decided
to join the wrestling team and quickly adapted into the culture of the program. A lifelong baseball player, Chris was already accustomed to the rigors of ath- letic training. The work ethic, discipline and toughness he brings to the team has been appreciated by all his team- mates. Although he is quiet by nature, his winning attitude has been a loud voice in our room and will be missed as he leaves CLS.
KYLE SMITH
Kyle Smith has been the type of wres- tler Latin prides itself in having. Kyle first joined the wrestling program as
a way to stay in shape for soccer, but quickly realized he had some ability in the sport. Kyle has worked tirelessly on improving not only his own skill, but he has been a key asset in the prepa- ration of his fellow teammates. He is soft-spoken, but his actions speak loudly, and his work ethic and deter- mination have been an example for all Mat Hawks to follow.
