Highest animal welfare standards
From inception, we’ve always believed better animal welfare improves business performance. Planting trees improves the welfare of free range hens. We were the first to plant trees for our birds and research has since proven the benefits.
We have 600+acres planted with 157,000 native trees and shrubs. These habitats optimise biodiversity and have encouraged endangered species back to our land.
All our producers follow the same model and it has proved successful for them too.
50% of our producers farm dis-advantaged land and are now making a viable living. They’ve also see the return of indigenous wildlife.

Our state of the art packing station sends zero waste to landfill and generates 100% of its energy on site. We achieved carbon neutrality in 2016 – an industry first.
We’re proud to be an industry benchmark – proving environment and commercial benefits can go hand in hand – and we share best practice with internationally recognised organisations as well as our egg producers and customers.
