renowned designer Thomas Jayne
will join Museum Executive Director

Myers for a Question and Answer
session supporting his latest book
Classical Principles for Modern
Design: Lessons from Edith Wharton

In this work, Jayne puts a modern
spin on Edith Wharton and Ogden
Codman’s book, The Decoration of
COCOA
520 Forrest Ave. Houses. Published in 1897, the book
is widely recognized as one of the
most influential for American design.
In Classical Principles for Modern
Design, Jayne suggests that much of
Florida Ave.
Wharton and Codman’s fundamental
