Belleview Biltmore

“Rolls Into” New Location, Antique

& Vintage Gems Recovered

With the demolition of the historic 1897 Belleview Biltmore Hotel
nearing completion, one piece of the building remains. A 38,000
square foot section of the hotel, encompassing 35 guest rooms
and the lobby, avoided demolition and was relocated 250 feet. The
18,000 ton building, moving on rollers, took four hours to complete
its journey.
Schiller’s Architectural and Design Salvage of Tampa and the
Architectural Salvage Bank of Tarpon Springs, recovered a trove of
vintage treasures such as room keys, moldings, and French Doors.
Robin Karr, of the Architectural Salvage Bank, commenting on the
