emerged from the Showing lots of Federal style elements, this Antiques
Depression and soon mahogany dresser was made by Dixie in the 1950s. primitives
became part of a
family of four companies under common ownership, each with a different collectibles
target market. In the late 1940s to the 1960s Dixie made mostly medium and furniture
lower quality bedroom furniture for the emerging post war market. Very few Militaria
of its pieces have much surviving value. Your dresser is made of mahogany shabby chic
veneer and appears to have been built in the 1950s. It is part of the Colonial vintage jewelry
Revival using traditional styles from our colonial era. It has several Federal Vintage Toys & Trains
stylistic elements from the early 19 century including the patera (the oval Vintage Clothing

emblems) on the corners, the Hepplewhite style oval shaped hardware, the
