Pembroke Pines, FL– The City of Pembroke Pines is gearing up for
its annual Pembroke Pines Antiques & Collectibles Show that takes
place at the S.W. Focal Point Community Center Saturday and Sunday, Common Sense Answers
October 14 & 15, 2017. Over forty dealers along with a plant vendor
are slated to attend the two day event. with Fred Taylor
Doors open on Saturday at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Sunday hours
are 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. Daily admission for the antiques show is
$2.00 and a two day pass is $3.00. Parking is Free.

The only way these businesses know this newspaper works for them is by restoration. If we could remove the paint, lacquer or urethane from many pieces
hearing it from you. It is because of them that you are able to enjoy this edition. to get to the original finish, we would see a whole lot more period antiques
wearing their birthday suits. In some cases it is possible to remove a top coat
Thanks for reading! without damaging the underlying finish too badly but it is time consuming and
expensive and is usually done only in high end restoration projects.
You could try the heat gun on a small space, removing the softened
finish with a plastic putty knife. Just don't get in a hurry. Another very time
consuming but sometimes more effective way is to soak small square strips
of rags (3in X 4in or so) in a methylene chloride based stripper. Then let
it sit on the paint just long enough to soften it and make it start to wrinkle.
Then use the plastic scraper very carefully to remove the wrinkled finish.
You will have to experiment with how wet to get the cloth and how long
the rags stay on the paint so as not to disturb the original flat green finish.
