Interior Designers, Others Leave August Scott Antique
Markets Show with Unique Finds
Interior designers from all over the area were not disappointed when they came
out August 10-13 to enjoy another Scott Antique Markets show in Atlanta. Designers,
shop owners and others came to the show looking for unique, quality items to take to
new clients.
Lathem Gordon and Cate Dunning, with Gordon Dunning Interior Design, enjoyed a
weekend hunting for new items to use in their clients homes.
“We are having such fun with this botanical gallery,” Gordon and Dunning said,
speaking about a variety of floral prints they found. “Scott is our favorite hunting
grounds!”
Jamie Kolodziej, who owns an Etsy shop called Sweet Tea
Salvage in the suburbs of Atlanta, makes bolo ties with many
of her finds at the market. During her most recent trip she
also found a vintage bandana she used for her dog, Chief. Shoppers came out in the thousands over the weekend to hunt for

noticed customers looking for quality over quantity.
“People shopping are looking for great-looking pieces, good quality and
good value,” Reichter said. “(They’re) looking for trending items seen in
magazines and on TV.”
Another vendor, Paul Horsman, from England, also had many customers looking
for decor. His booth features country antiques and he had people come in looking for
dough bowls, bread peels, glass and other decorative items.
Many customers left with purchases in hand, saying they would be back next
month to find more items to use in their homes, sell in their stores or to have for
clients to enjoy.
