                                                         LEARNING FOR LEADERSHIP

                                                        With the Mile High City as the backdrop, students from nearly 65 campuses across
                                                        the nation met up at the third biennial Student Vice President Leadership Summit
                                                        this past summer in Denver. The two-day event, hosted July 14-15, paired tips on
                                                        how to successfully promote and enhance chapters of Phi Kappa Phi with resources
                                                        on sharpening personal leadership skills. In addition to learning the ins and outs
                                                        of Phi Kappa Phi and what it means to be a student vice president, attendees
                                                        drilled down into personal leadership during a day-long interactive event hosted by
                                                        Collegiate Empowerment.

                                                          “Before coming to the Summit, I felt as though I was swept into a whirlwind. I was
                                                        nominated by the previous student vice president and a faculty member and had no
                                                        idea what was to be expected, neither of me, or the situation I was put in,” said an
                                                        attendee at the Summit. “As of now, I have a newly gained confidence in myself, and
                                                        a lot of ideas on how to further our chapter’s success.”
