Facts about Pinocchio:
Pinocchio was only the second movie created by Disney, and work for it started even before Snow White (the first Disney movie ever made) was in theaters. Though the critics loved it, it was so expensive to make that it took years until a profit for the studio was made.
Many of the places mentioned in the book were based on real places, such as The Red Lobster Inn, and Gepetto’s house, which was modeled after an actual home.
The Pinocchio puppet that was made for the Disney movie was lost for more than 50 years, and the only thing left behind was a publicity photo of Walt Disney with it. It was later found in the Disney basement, stuffed inside an old cabinet.
Figaro, Gepetto’s cat, was Walt Disney’s favorite character from the movie.
