and sound information about Israel to Christians around the world. Thousands of
people have visited Israel through Bridges for Peace throughout the years, and
the BFP vision has expanded greatly over the past 30 years.
Since then, both Douglas and Snook have received their highest award, for both
of them passed to glory. We are certain they heard the words, “Well done, good
and faithful servants, enter into the joy of your Lord,” from the Savior they loved.
Both are buried in the graveyard behind the Institute to which they gave so much,
overlooking the Kidron Valley, and close to the Golden Gate of Jerusalem where

“Douglas Young is a giant of his time. His long and distinguished career has
left an indelible mark upon his generation, for Douglas Young has been a

forefront of those dedicated Christians who support the People and the State of
Israel.”

endeavors changed the lives of literally thousands of people, from Bible college
students in America to those who studied at the fledgling Institute in Jerusalem,
from listeners of his Christian radio programs to readers of his publications.
Through his vision for Bridges for Peace (BFP), Dr. Young continues even today
to touch the hearts of people all over the world―Christians and Jews alike.
Unfortunately, however, he was not to see this new undertaking fulfilled as he
