adies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, here we are about to these players, whether beginners head into the Summer of 2022. We are coming off two years or top-notch players. There is re-
of unknowing, distraught, confused, and desperate times. Desperate to find some normality in our lives, not just for our- selves, but for our families and even our friends. It seems that our leaders of this Great Nation don’t even know what they are doing, which makes it even that more difficult to know what we are to do or how to plan for what is next. What I do know is that we just need to move forward without waiting for the mindless to show us the way. There is so much divide between people today and violence that we need to begin to find a way to come together with our differences and opinions. Do I know the answer to that, NO! But I may just have an idea on how to begin. You may think this is a bit crazy, but I say, “What have we got to Lose”.
Have you been to your local bar or Tavern lately and saw a bunch of people playing Cornhole, Pool, Foosball, Darts, or any type of bar games for that matter?
“Here is where many will stop reading, make a difference, don’t stop reading”
Well, if you have and you watch long enough to see the interac- tion of players or contestants you will see that in some or many of these tournaments or leagues one of the biggest things that people probably don’t take notice to is at the end of every game or event there is a handshake, sometimes even a hug. You may not think that much of this, and just say, well they do that at a lot of different sports. You are right they do. But do they at the end of the event go to one another and shake hands or give a competitor a hug before they head on out to their journey home like they do in these events, very rarely do you see that any where else.
Being in the Bar and Tavern industry for many years I have come to see the progression of camaraderie between many of
spect for each other that goes
without saying. More recently I
have seen parents bringing their
children to participate in some of
these bar sports where they are allowed to play and compete. The parents do not just hang out and let the tables, boards or what have you babysit the children, but they interact with them as well, other players also interact to make their games get better. In some cases, the kids are becoming more talented than the parents or guardians. Lately, we have seen some players coming out to events who have never played in a tournament before or haven’t played for many years. In most cases they are immediately made to feel welcome. This is starting to happen a lot more. So, if you got a friend who is dubbing around with pool, foosball, cornhole or any type of bar sport that you also enjoy, and you know about the tournament or league experience, the true friendship that is there with all the players, then get him or her out to an event.
So, what is the real point behind this, I hope it is really not that tough to see. The point is, start getting your friends and family out and participating during some of these different league nights or tournament weekends to feel what it once was to be around a bunch of people that have a common interest in some- thing you all enjoy, and more importantly get along doing it. I feel that having a couple of beers and introducing a new player or one that hasn’t played for along time to something they enjoy is the beginning of the “Great Divide”.

e have Horizon Darts, a company that is pushing 40 years of being in business. For those of you that know darts, they had the original patent on the Uni-directional cut. They were also the first to come
out with the WidowMaker dart, designed by Melody Foster. Being a leader in the dart world is tough. Every time they came out with a new design someone was trying to copy it within a few months. “If you like Darts, You’ll Love Horizon Darts!”
Also, on the front cover we have the “99th Motorcycle Week Rally Logo”. With info on some Great Stops and Rides. And more from Bentley’s Saloon and their Summer Line-up! So be sure to check it out!
