      The Mysterious Ring

        Your hands are tied together with a
      loop of string between (fig.  1). The
      knots are tied and sealed, if desired.
      Take a ring,  then tum your back for a
      moment. When you show your
      hands, the ring is tied between them
      on the string (fig. 6).
        To perform this trick, take a loop
      of string and push it through the cen~
      ter of the ring (fig. 2).
        Push the loop of string up under               fig.  1
      the string encircling the wrist, and
      pass the loop over the fingers of the
      hand (figs. 3 and 4).
        Then push the loop under the
      string in back of the wrist, and  bring
      the loop over the fingers again
      (fig. 5).
        As i!.  n:sull, the ring will be tied on
      the string (fig. 6). With a little prac~
      tice, these movements can be per~
