Lectures discuss highlights of the chapter.
Students are encouraged to ask questions during or after class.
The lecture, laboratory, and test schedules are distributed in class and are
available on Canvas after each chapter is discussed.
Class time is allowed for working on assignments.
All assignments are due when scheduled.
Assignment sheets are distributed in class and are available on Canvas.
Late assignments are accepted only one week past the due date.
Each late assignment receives 50% of the points earned.
It is crucial that each student keep up with the homework assignments.. Scale:
Each student is expected to keep all graded homework for the entire semester. A = 90.00% - 100%
The instructor will keep all tests and quizzes for the entire semester. B = 80.00% - 89.99%
C = 70.00% - 79.99%
Preparing for Examinations: D = 60.00% - 69.99%
F = 0.00% - 59.99%
Attend lecture, read the chapters, and complete the homework. At least 90%
of the test questions are taken directly from the reading material. Your
homework experience will help with recall at test time. Tests will
administered online. (using SAM). Training for the test will be available prior
to the test date. Students are encouraged to make use of the trainings.
Makeup Policy:
The tests will be online at the SAM program or in written format. The tests must be
made up at the Success Center. Tests must be taken within 1 day of the classroom
test date. Failure to take the test the day following the administration of the
ASSIGNMENTS . 32% classroom test results in a permanent zero recorded for that test.

TOTAL............... 100% Each student should be aware of their individual learning style and pace. The
textbook provides step-by-step instruction. If difficulties arise, contact the
instructor, the Success Center, or a fellow classmate for help. Tutors are available
and should be requested and utilized when extensive assistance is needed. Contact
the campus dean or the Success Center instructor if you want the assistance of a tutor.
What does it cost the student to have a tutor? Nothing, it is FREE.
How will a tutor help me?
A tutor will be provided by the college at your request. This person will try to help you understand your coursework.
This person will not do your homework for you. To take advantage of the time with your tutor, read the chapter and
do as much homework as you can. Prepare questions for areas that are unclear to you.
A tutor can assist you with those “bumps” in the road.
Other Expectations:
Electronic devices of all kinds are highly discouraged in the classroom.
Cell phones are to be turned off for all class meetings.
Cellphones, calculators, computers, books, and notes are prohibited during examinations and quizzes, unless
specified.
Be sure to push in the keyboard and chair and logoff the computer when leaving the computer lab.
