  Pilcher Park Nature Center Camps
Little Sprouts Learning Center
Summer Camp
Try out the Little Sprouts Learning Center for a 4-week or 8-week summer session. Natural themes and materials are incorporated through outdoor and indoor activities. Each week we will discover the wonders of nature through exploration
of our woodland trails, pond, creeks, and meadows, while encouraging children to explore how their lives are a part of the world of nature. Campers should dress for the outdoors, wading in creeks, and getting muddy. Please bring bug spray and sunscreen. All children attending this program must be potty-trained before the camp session begins.
Art in Nature Camp
Be inspired by the forest, creeks, and wildlife around you as you paint, create, and make nature-related art each day. You will hike to various points in Pilcher Park and be inspired by the beautiful scenery. You will use different media throughout the week which could include paint, chalk, and clay. Bring a water bottle and a snack. No previous art experience needed. Just bring your creativity and have fun!

You find yourself lost while hiking in the woods with your group of friends. Cell phones have no signals. Your friend
just tripped and hurt his/her ankle. How will you survive until
a rescue party finds you? What should you bring along with you on such a trip? Do you know basic first aid to treat the injured? Can you make a shelter? How about building a fire? What could you find to eat? Where is water found and how do you make it safe to drink? At survival camp you will learn all of these skills! Participants will experience a wide variety of survival techniques. Be a good survivor – dress for the weather, wear sunscreen, bug spray, and long pants, and bring a
snack and bottle of water. There is an optional overnight on Thursday. You will spend the evening inside the Nature Center in your sleeping bag. There will be a night hike and campfire. Friday morning you will enjoy a pancake breakfast. To register for this part of the program you must have taken the Survival Camp and pay an extra fee. We need a minimum of 8 campers to register for the overnight in order for this portion to run.
