“I like Dr. Stafford,” said Toni as they left the office. “I want to be an orthopedic surgeon when I grow up.”
“Great,” said Tad. “If I break any bones my twin sister can take of me.”
“She can take care of all of us,” said Aimi.
“Hold it! Hold it!” said Grami. “I think we should stop breaking bones!”
“A broken bone hurts,” said Aimi. “It’s no fun.”
“But IF you broke a bone,” said Toni, “I’d take care of you.”
“It might be great to have an orthopedic surgeon who is also a good friend,” said Grami.
“And I’d take care of our cousin, Connor, too, if he broke a bone,” said Toni.
“Connor is pretty careful,” said Tad. “But if a cow kicked him he might get a broken bone.” They all laughed.
