“The day before yesterday we went riding in a speed boat,” said Toni, “and then we went swimming. Yesterday we went hiking around the lake and climbed part-way up the mountain. Today we’re going swimming again after we buy more groceries. Mom says Tad is eating us out of house and home.” Aimi laughed. “Tomorrow we are taking canoe lessons,” Toni continued. “There are lots of squirrels at the campground and one of them took peanuts from my hand. The ranger said that was okay. And there are jays here, too. They flew down and took peanuts off a log. We’re all eating. Tonight Mom says we can make S’Mores around the campfire. I love making S’Mores.”
“Tad told me you were doing everything,” said Aimi. “And Connor said you were doing absolutely everything. You’re the only one who told me what everything and absolutely everything
meant. I like hearing the details.” Aimi and Toni laughed.
