“Good-bye,” said Aimi, and turned off the candy red cell phone and set it down. “That was so much fun!” she said. She was so excited she jumped up and down and up and down. “Grami, I’m glad there are telephones. I like
to talk to Tad and Toni and Conner when they’re not here. Toni said maybe I could go
camping with them
next year.”
“I
think that’s a definite possibility,” said Grami. “Now, it’s almost time for us to leave for the artist’s studio. Have you decided what you want to wear for your
portrait?”
“Yes,” said Aimi. “I want to wear my new blue
capris. And my new blue top with ruffles down the sleeves.”
“Good choice,” said Grami. “You look good in blue. As soon as you’ve changed your clothes, I’ll comb your hair and we can leave.”
