The Aye-Aye. These endangered le-
murs are the world’s largest noctur-
nal primate and have furry gremlin
faces, rodent-like teeth and long
Crypt Keeper-style fingers. To find
food, the Aye-Aye first taps on trees
to find grubs, then chews a small
hole before using their narrow mid-
dle finger to pull a tasty meal out of
the wood. Superstitious locals be-
lieve these weird animals to be har-
bingers of evil or death, and will of-
ten kill them on sight.
