Voluntary Separation Incentive Program
On October 17, 2016, Administration and Finance Secretary Kristen Lepore launched the Voluntary Separation
Incentive Program to reduce state spending in the Executive Branch. To participate in the program, eligible
employees had to submit a completed VSIP application to their agency Human Resources Office by Monday,
November 14, 2016.
Retirement-eligible participants in VSIP received a one-time cash incentive of $15,000 while non-retirement eligible
employees received $5,000. VSIP was open to Executive Branch employees (with the exception of Department of
Children and Families) in all budgetary accounts, including operating, capital, trust, federal and assessed accounts.
It was open to both managers and bargaining unit employees.
Members with less than 20 years all the way up to a 44 year veteran applied for the VSIP. 41 total members
seperated under the VSIP. Below is a list of retirees and resignations under the VSIP:
