about Alentejo
The Alentejo region, located on
the south half of Portugal, is not
very populated but holds
spectacular landscapes.
Alentejo is full of small towns
with white houses, many of
them with their own medieval
castle. It is also commonplace
to run into thousand-year old
monuments across its hills. On
the west lays the less-known
Vicentina Coast, with kilometers
of unexplored beaches.
Traditional landmarks of Évora
Alentejo are its rich gastronomy
(i.e. Alentejo wine, Porco à Alentejo
Alentejana) and its traditional
craftamakers.
