what could possibly go wrong in a few days?
While I was gone one of his neighbors called me. My dad's legs
had swollen up and he was brought to the hospital. The doctors said he had developed jaundice, and they put a stent in his liver in order to alleviate it.
I called my dad at the hospital and told him I was coming back down. He told me to hold off because they were going to do a biopsy on a benign mass that had years ago been found near his liver. He also told me that they were going to perform a colonoscopy. All of this seemed like good news in the sense that my dad was finally getting proper, 24/7 treatment for his ailments. The general consensus was that he was suffering from exhaustion, and that he had jaundice, and that he was now healing. My dad was going to be okay!
Johnny soon returned home, and so did Ginger.
Once again, I flew down to see him, and help him in any way I could. He looked better, but was still very tired. Even still, we went shopping, we went out for healthy meals, we got fresh, cold‐ pressed juices, we walked around the mall together, and Johnny, Ginger and I spent a lot of time in the lovely Asian‐style garden my dad designed and created in his backyard. Johnny and Ginger loved it there.
