                                                        A former actress and model, Missy Jerfita knows the true
                                                        meaning of diligence and perseverance when it comes to
                                                        making a success of her career.  The daughter of a Realtor
                                                        who inspired Jerfita thanks to her “passion and tenacity,”
                                                        this real estate professional knows what it means to set
                                                        one’s eyes on the prize and work relentlessly to achieve it.
                                                        She did just that in her first year in the industry, aspiring
                                                        toward $10 million in sales.  Her hard work paid off when
                                                        she attained her goal, and her team now holds the honor
                                                        of ranking as the top team on the North Side for the past
                                                        10 years.
                                                          Jerfita, who has been quoted as an expert source
                                                        in  The Wall Street Journal,  Chicago Tribune  and  on
                                                        WGN radio, believes that these accomplishments are
                                                        largely due to the fact that her team is “The Best of the
                                                        Best” Realtors.  They are all specialists, each of them
                                                        focuses either on buyers or sellers to give each  client
                                                        110 percent attention.  Moreover, Jerfita points out, hers
                                                        is a “concierge team that can provide and coordinate
                                                        referrals for stagers, painters, handymen and cleaning
                                                        people,” thereby making her team full service.
                                                          As Jerfita explains, “My team stands out in Chicago’s
                                                        real estate community because we really care about our
                                                        clients’ goals and needs.”  For example, there was the
                                                        Chicago Bulls player whose home she was asked to sell
                                                        with the caveats that she avoid placing it on the Multiple
                                                        Listing Service (MLS), promoting it to other brokers,
                                                        putting signage in the yard and hosting open houses!   “I
                                                        asked my client how I was going to sell his home when he
                                                        didn’t want anyone to know about it,” she laughingly recalls,
                                                        “but I sold it without it going on the market.”  And then there
                                                        was the time that her client, a 6’7”, 320-pound Chicago
                                                        Bears player, needed a home that could accommodate his
                                                        stature.  “We would go straight to the master bathroom
                                                        shower in every home we looked at to see if he could fit
                                                        in it!” she remembers.  That client, she says, started as a
                                                        renter but ultimately bought a $3.6 million home. Jerfita’s
                                                        clients range from luxury, first-time buyers, people upsizing
                                                        and downsizing to professional athletes.
                                                          Having ranked in the top half of the top 1 percent in
                                                        Berkshire Hathaway KoenigRubloff in 2014, Jerfita is also
                                                        committed to giving back, which is why she established
                                                        The Jerfita Key to Success Scholarship for a deserving
                                                        Glenbrook South High School senior.  She also supports
                                                        both Glenview Youth Services and Habitat for Humanity,
                                                        the latter of which she donates a portion of her commission
                                                        after each transaction.  With sales exceeding $60 million
                                                        each year, Jerfita continues to surpass clients’ expectations
                                                        as well as paying her success forward in the community
                                                        where she lives and works.
