Spike sits down on a big wooden seat,

and dreams of things he’ll be able to eat.

The tree stump is having very different thoughts-

remembering how Spike made him distraught.

He snapped my twigs and hurt my pride.

He had no idea how I was feeling inside.

Spike is just dreaming of eating the corn,

and has no idea of the tree stump’s scorn.
